Geometry cut through travertine turns light into a quiet surface.
Sükun is a table lamp combining Turkish travertine with six Islamic geometric patterns. Reconstructed through Eric Broug's systematic approach, the motifs become working apertures for light across the stone surface. The first wired edition uses an integrated 2700K LED with three-step dimming.

Sükun is a Ø250 × 300 mm table lamp made from Turkish travertine. Its six patterns were developed from architectural references in Konya, Kayseri, Karaman, Córdoba, Valladolid and the Alhambra. Openings are waterjet cut and vulnerable edges are finished by hand. The first edition is wired, with an integrated 2700K LED and three-step dimming. A rechargeable USB-C version is planned. Made to order, Sükun received a Bronze award at the 2026 A′ Design Award & Competition.
